Terms of Service

1. Scope and Subject Matter

RentalPal is an online platform that enables registered users to offer items for rent and to rent items from other users ("the Platform"). These Terms of Service govern all use of the RentalPal application and website.

2. Registration

Use of the Platform requires registration with a valid email address or via Google Sign-In. Users must be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Using the Platform

As a lender, you may create listings for items you own and are entitled to offer for rent. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your listing and the condition of the item.

As a renter, you agree to use the rented item with care, to return it on time and in the agreed condition, and to compensate the lender for any damage caused by you. The rental agreement is concluded directly between lender and renter. RentalPal is not a party to any rental agreement.

4. Prohibited Content

You may not list items whose rental, sale, or possession is illegal, including but not limited to weapons, hazardous materials, controlled substances, counterfeit goods, or items that infringe third-party rights. RentalPal reserves the right to remove non-compliant listings at any time without notice.

5. Liability

RentalPal provides the Platform on an "as-is" basis. We do not accept liability for disputes between users, damage to or loss of rented items, non-payment, or any other consequences arising from rental transactions. Each user is solely responsible for their own listings and rental conduct.

6. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Settings. RentalPal reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these Terms, applicable law, or the rights of other users.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes within the app or on the website. Material changes require your renewed explicit acceptance before you can continue using the Platform.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed exclusively by German law. The exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from or in connection with the use of RentalPal is Hildesheim, Germany.
